FAQ

  • How do Compression Boots work?

Accelerate Recovery Compression Boots uses pressurised air into stacked chambers to provid seamless pressure about the lower leg muscle groups. This seamless pressure provides theraputic benefits about the associated muscles groups, just that from a massage therapist.

Following intense exercise the worked muscle groups have a build up of waste products such as lactic acid of which can cause Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness (DOMS). The use of compression technology aids to increase blood flow, oxygenation and delivery of muscle repair enzymes. This then correlates to a reduction in muscle pain and fatigue and better sports performance!

  • How should I use the Compression Boots?

The Accelerate Recovery Compression Boots have a pressure range from 30-240mmHg.

For a beginner we recommend trialling lower pressures to build your tolerance before working up to a pressure you tolerate best. An ideal pressure to start would be around 120-150mmHg for 15-30 minutes.

  • When should I use Compression Boots?

To obtain the best benefit from the use of the Compression Boots we would recommend for use within 2 hours following strenuous exercise, however within 30-60 minutes is ideal. They are also great for use following a long day at work whether this be physical in nature or not!

They can also be used as apart of a warm up routine for 15-30 minutes.

  • How to adjust the pressure of the compression boots?

The pressue ranges from 30-240mmHg is adjustable at any time throughout use. If at any time the pressure is too strong remove the hose from the machine. Do not unzip the boots whilst inflated.

The Compression Boots can take up to 3-4 minutes to become fully inflated to the desired pressure depending on the specific settings. Ensure that the hoses are free from any bends or twists.
